Job Description: Research Coordinator (Healthcare and Medicine - Medical Research)
Position Overview:
The Research Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting and coordinating medical research projects within the healthcare industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing various research initiatives to ensure accurate and timely completion. This position requires exceptional organizational, communication, and analytical skills, as well as a strong background in medical research methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement research protocols, in collaboration with medical researchers and other stakeholders, to ensure the successful execution of research projects.
2. Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day activities of research projects, including participant recruitment, data collection, and data analysis.
3. Conduct literature reviews and gather relevant information to support research objectives and contribute to the development of research proposals.
4. Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements throughout the research process.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and effective communication on research projects.
6. Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and proactively identify and address any potential issues or delays.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of research activities, including informed consent forms, study protocols, and data management plans.
8. Prepare and present research findings, both in written reports and through oral presentations, to internal and external stakeholders.
9. Stay abreast of advancements and breakthroughs in medical research, and contribute to the continuous improvement of research methodologies and processes.
10. Provide guidance and support to research assistants and other team members, ensuring their adherence to research protocols and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as healthcare, life sciences, or medical research. Master's degree preferred.
2. Proven experience (X years) as a Research Coordinator or similar role within the healthcare or medical research field.
3. Strong understanding of medical research methodologies, including study design, data collection, and statistical analysis.
4. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
5. Proficient in using research tools, databases, and software applications for data analysis and management.
6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
7. Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
9. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a demonstrated aptitude for analyzing and interpreting research data.
10. Knowledge of ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements governing medical research, such as Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) guidelines.
